Talisman Red's Womens College Soccer Computer Ratings

On this page, I'll try to keep daily rankings, ratings, and scores of NCAA women's soccer teams. This will be the second year for this project, and there is still lots of work to be done. I'll do the best I can with the time that I have to keep sprucing up the place. The ratings shown here use the system developed by David Wilson, which I've calculated for college basketball for over 20 years.

In the past I tried to get scores from the NCAA's public website, which is run by Turner Sports. But Turner missed games, missed scores, and was just generally unreliable. So I'm trying a new source this year.

Welcome to 2026! Couple of things to be aware of at the moment:

  • Early season ratings are influenced heavily by last year's final results. That effect will fade away entirely by late September.
  • Two calculations available: For your enjoyment, I share my own ranking formula (scores + strength of schedule + date of game) and also the classic formula created by David Wilson (win or lose + strength of schedule, only). Reach out if you want more details about either.
