Other Activities

GIS consulting. Since 2005, I have worked with the Alabama High School Athletic Association to develop software that objectively draws district alignments for high school football and basketball. Example products can be found here.

Science Olympiad. From 2004-2008, I supervised the Dynamic Planet (Earth Science) event at the state regional level, for both middle and high school groups. My old exams are freely available.

Visualization. I continue to create my own weather maps, both for forecasting and nowcasting. (The model images are created in GrADS, the satellite and radar products in Gempak.)
